There is a more fundamental principle at work here. Lawyers can bring suit and get the government to pay their fees....

Any lawyer who does that should be reported to the State Bar Association for possible disbarment.

Lawyers are sworn officers of the court---they should know that US courts do not dispense justice to litigants w/ "unclean hands" (a legal term meaning those who have committed crimes).

The state's legal oversight agency needs to be notified about a lawyer's activities that reflect on his ability to practice law, actions that could remove his license to practice.
