Rick Santorum in this low on the list because, as Kennedy said, "first, you gotta get elected" but with most of the list it may prove that, even if elected, it does not matter.
Good list.
Perry - MSM won’t let go of his awful debate stumble in the 2012 prelims - he has been Dan Quayled.
Santorum - MSM could keep him in long enough to split the party’s wings - ideological purity won’t overcome political pragmatism - perhaps a complex form of voter suppression.
Jindal - seeing some recent resurgence.
Scott Walker (if interested in the job) is very tested in taking on / beating the left on lightning rod, nationalized issues - would finish above Jindal. He knows how to govern too.
Ben Carson - not mentioned in the original poll, should be added, but he won’t get close to the nod. He’s running though.
I think a Perry/Walker ticket would be very effective. Particularly if Walker can delivery WI. You have a Gov/Gov ticket running against declared Senators. It neutralizes Cuomo if he runs. Perry puts energy front and center. The DNC will collect money from Wall Street, not main street. Walker is very attractive to Midwesterners.
Ideally, we’d see 8 years of Perry followed by 8 years of Walker and a GOP controlled Congress. They could undo a lot of harm.
