Charlotte philanthropist Bahman Maalizadeh refuses to stand by as refugees flee Islamic State militants in the Middle East.
On Saturday, he will fly to the Kurdish region of northern Iraq to deliver five to 10 truckloads of medicine, food and other supplies to Yazidi and Christian refugees.

Heading over to meat ISIL?
They (isis/isil/is) may end up with some of the supplies. They’re kinda like “takers”.
Better than the US has done so far.
It’s a dangerous area, keep your head about you.
If you get on the wrong side over there you may only stand shoulders above others.
I think this guy is on the up and up. I pulled up a few stories around the Internet, and it appears he’s been advocating for non-muslims in Iran and elsewhere for a few years.
Here’s an interesting link. http://www.companies-northcarolina.com/norooz-foundation-inc-legal-nn4j/ . Cross checking some of the related businesses, he seems to be in good company.
One of the things he does, is go to local shops, buy fresh produce, and hand deliver it to the refugees. So I think the contributions are getting to the people he intends them for.
I had rather hoped FReepers would pick this apart, and share some info about this guy and his charity. He could be incompetent or a total fraud, but I couldn’t find any evidence of that.
I meant that we will doubtless see him being beheaded, turned into dead meat, by ISIL.

Thanks for posting this thread, rktman.
Please see my comment at post 7.
Yeah, there is that.
I think I read somewhere that this is something like his 6th trip over there on one of these missions. He’s pushing his luck, but I think he knows what he’s doing.
