Is it time to start drinking squeeze?
They thought it was a hijab garment. "Okay, you can pass
".
Throw away plastic gloves would help if you had to push an elevator buttons or accept paper money...
My kind of guy.
.
I am starting to see some signs of self preservation out there.
I wonder if those parents are still withholding their kids from school in Dallas. I hope so.
Once symptoms appear, the virus is reported by CDC to be contagious. Each sneeze (not a primary symptom, but it happens) potentially contains droplets with enough virus to infect another person. Each drop of blood or whatever that oozes from wherever can kill.
Well before symptoms appear, there are only a few dozen, a few hundred, or a few tens of thousands of viruses in the entire body, and the risk from contact with a few droplets is quite low.
What about the transition period? Is CDC simplifying too much when they don’t mention any risk in the hours before symptoms appear, when the infection has spread enough that it is about to trigger fever? Of is Ebola still relatively safe right up to the start of the fever and maybe a bit after that? I’m a skeptic and suspect it’s more of a statistical thing, where the risk in lower before the fever starts but still significant in the last day or at least the last hours of apparent health.

He was referring to the “risk spreading as being small”
Quote from article:
Mobley said the CDC is sugar-coating the risk of the virus spreading in the United States.
For them to say last week that the likelihood of importing an Ebola case was extremely small was a real bad call, he said.
We need more truth-tellers like this doctor!
Good reminder to stock up on disinfectants. My supply is low right now.
I have a sufficient supply, but I just bought another jug of bleach, 400 surgical gloves (half latex, half nitrile), paper towels, and some more N95 masks. Cheap, and they add security. Boy Scouts: "Be Prepared".
Buy bottled water for drinking NOW. It’s pretty cheap at most discount stores. You can fill up empty soda bottles with water, and treat with a little bleach.
Beyond that, if your state allows it, and you own your home, you can collect rainwater from your roof to use for many things. With a filter, and some water purification tablets or bleach, it can even be safe to drink.
Consider getting masks/face shields and boots and coveralls. Not one teen tiny bit of skin can be exposed if you get close to a person who has Ebola, cause it doesn’t take much of it spread. Who knows who might come knocking at the door.LOL
Now if you can stay 6 ft away from everyone, you might not need all that, but why take a chance?
One more thing, I forgot to mention. When the electricity goes off, remember that your hot water tank, if you have one can be drained as needed, which is about 50 gallons of water, in case you are short on preps at the time.
This Dr. was just on Fox News with Neil Cavuto. He makes a lot of sense. As more and more of the 3rd world countries get overrun by this disease, there will be more and more people on flights coming into America, and he doesn’t feel that we are ready.
He just arrived from and International flight, and he said there was zero screening of any kind for disease. The only question he was asked was whether he had any tobacco or alcohol.
He feels that screening procedures should be implemented for flights, and fever centers set up for screening and triage of individuals with out exposing all other sick people to who knows what.
That’s all I can remember, but there was more.
Don’t forget “Outbreak” - it was just on a few weeks ago. All about a cute lil monkey smuggled in and spreading Ebola around.
Dustin Hoffman saved the town just as the Government was getting ready to set off a fuel air bomb to kill everything and everyone.
3 more students quarantined today. That makes 8. I’d be keeping my kids at home - they can email the assignments, and we’ll mail them in.
They’ll never tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about that last paragraph.
I read from more than one source, that the amount in a small amount of bodily fluid is large, and it only takes 1-10 for infection.
interview on cavuto - when I get the you tube, I will post it.

Bring Out Your Dead
Were gonna need
a bigger cart!
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Me too.
