I'm not saying that Ebola won't be a big problem.
However, EVD-68, Chikungunya, and Dengue Fever are flooding the U.S.
EVD-68 has already hit at least 40 states.
I agree that the morbidity rate of EVD-68, Chikungunya, and Dengue Fever may be significantly higher -— we shall see how this ebola episode plays out -— but the MORTALITY rate is the thing that makes the difference. Sick is sick, but dead . . .
Dengue Fever is spread by mosquitoes ... hardly a serious contrast or comparison to Ebola... While Dengue Fever - ‘Break Bone’ Fever is serious and makes one very very sick - the mortality rate is not all that high. Plus - we can control Dengue by controlling the mosquito population which the U.S. is very good at when push comes to shove.
