Somebody remind me... but I distinctly remember Israel NOT informing the USA when they destroyed the Iraq Osirak Nuclear reactor in 1981 under Saddam Hussein.
They were loudly condemned ( even by us ) for doing that... but everyone secretly heaved a huge sigh of relief.
