A patient placed in isolation at a Honolulu-area hospital Wednesday may be infected with the Ebola virus, officials told KHON-TV.
The Department of Health confirmed to the Hawaii outlet that the patient is currently undergoing a battery of tests, but has yet to be specifically tested for the deadly virus.
The officials declined to provide KHON with any details regarding symptoms and would not say whether or not the patient has been to West Africa recently.

Officials, however, said they are working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but cautioned the public not to worry at this stage.
No other details were immediately available. A representative from the Hawaii Department of Public Health was not immediately available for comment to TheBlaze.
A man was diagnosed this week with Ebola in Dallas, Texas this week and is currently undergoing treatment.
These people need to start traveling to North Korea, Europe, China, Cuba, Mecca...stop coming to the US.
Simultaneous attack?
Texas guy flew first to Belgium, then to freaking DC and THEN to Dulles.
Suspicion factor - MAXIMUM.

Do the math and see what sum you all come up with at the 30th-there are just 4 up there now.
“...that the patient is currently undergoing a battery of tests, but has yet to be specifically tested for the deadly virus.”
Great. So he comes in with Ebola/ flu symptoms. Perhaps his trip included West Africa to make them think he has Ebola. But first they run a bunch of tests for the flu, malaria, herpes, and bunga-bunga before getting around to do an Ebola test.
I suppose they have some reason for doing it that way - but seems odd to me.
“Hey. Give us a break. We only have 6 Ebola test kits at the hospital. We don’t want to waste it if it is only bunga-bunga. And at this point, what difference does it make?”
The Dept. of Health officials of the state so great it hyphenated it’s name even if nobody else does are having trouble finding, what? What can’t they find now?
And again the question is how long was he walking around before he went to the hospital?
Boko haram?
The proverbial human dirty bomb.
I am pretty certain that that is probably the only way to fly to Dallas from Liberia. I would highly doubt that there is a direct flight to Dallas from Monrovia. I can’t believe there is a flight to Brussels.
Either way. He is our problem now.
Hope this bug has an expiration date before that. Last thing I want is to be on a plane with a bunch of strangers.
I may be criticized for being insensitive and inhumane, but, does this dude from Liberia have health insurance? How is his hospital bill going to get paid?
Having said that, of course we should treat him, and I hope he recovers. But, at some point, there will be a hospital bill to be paid. Just wondering who will pay it.
