If he was living with her, maybe he got if from the same source she did.
Which would mean he ‘knew’ or suspected he would be coming down with it quickly.

A week ago would be around the 24th but he didn’t seek medical treatment til the 26th. After seeing her die, he must have known. Interesting the article states “about a week ago” but not a specific date.
