NATIONAL REVIEW

God save us from self-professed "conservatives" who will announce they'll stay home on Election Day as a demonstration of their power.
Because as we all know, you become more influential in politics and government and public life by staying home and doing less.
....
Does the "I'm staying home" crowd apply this to everything in life? "I don't like the way the company is run, so I'm not going to work."
"Honey, I'm just not happy with your performance as a spouse, so I'm going to be less active in the marriage until you improve."
"Kids, I'm disappointed with your performance in school. Until you improve, I'm ignoring you."
The thing is, I wonder how often the "I'm staying home this year" crowd voted before. In fact, I wonder if they ever vote.
I don't understand the "I've never been more fearful for the future of this country, but I'm not willing to do anything about it" mentality.
Ronald Reagan is not walking through that door, folks.

Explain how he made money through government connections. He was a venture capitalist who was socially liberal. He understood and believed in capitalism. He was not a community organizer.
Are you just another cranky union guy who lost his job because of being overpaid for the skills offered?
I’m from Chicago, crony capitalism quite familiar to me. It’s how a lot of liberals get rich, including community organizers.
Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan are my political heroes. Do you have any?
Every insult and invective that can be levied upon principled Conservatives by you affrighted Loyalists to the Ruling Class Party is accepted with the same aplomb as we do the insults coming from Obama and his ilk.
If history has taught us anything, it is surrendering in all battles because you dont have the army you really want is a guarantee to enslavement.
So too is staying in an army whose leadership has signaled to the enemy that they intend to cede ground and capitulate to their advance while declaring an internal war on their own soldiers that see such leadership as treason.
I won't fight in an army of such unprincipled pragmatists who will fight only for party and power without any core principles it thinks is worth fighting for. I won't fight in an army that has vowed to crush me and is waging a war of sabotage against likeminded countrymen.
See, people like you are ALREADY enslaved on the plantation, fighting for a party that has adopted the agenda of the enemy rather than fighting for liberty.
As Norm Lenhart stated earlier, those in goose-step formation with the Ruling Class leadership are the problem, the enemy.
If you and your party are worried about 'winning' - go and pander to the Mexican squatters and the great 'Moderates' out there for votes that your leadership wants as their base.
We're done with your party, your non-army, your Judenrat party for the MarxoFascists.
More pretzel-twists of idiotic logic. To be expected from party hacks and provocateurs that insist that voting for a Conservative instead of a liberal with an 'R' after their name is a vote for Obama and his party.
Go pander for voters from the Mexicans and moderates your party bosses want as their base.
We vote for Conservatives only, even if we have to write them in or vote 3rd party.
Oh, please. Snap out of it. You’re sounding foolish.
Not really.
I want to give Ted Cruz control of the Senate, you want to SAVE HARRY REID’S JOB.
Simple as that.
You are an imbecile. Ted Cruz will not have control of the Senate anymore than he has control of it now.
He’ll have to get past McConnell, who declared war on Cruz and those like him.
This election is about giving McConnell and Boehner the leadership reins and they have already told us what they intend to do with such leadership: surrender power back to the Democrats and keep Obama’s agenda in place.
Go pander to Mexican squatters and the great ‘moderates’ for whatever votes your Ruling Class oligarchy thinks it needs.
Save yourself all the typing and simply put SAVE HARRY REID! in your tagline.
Uh, yeah they did.
Hell have to get past McConnell, who declared war on Cruz and those like him.
I see now.
” Hell have to get past McConnell, who declared war on Cruz and those like him.”
Tell that to the poster at 566, then tell me why conservatives should lay down and accept it.
Forgive me, but you really seem a special kind of...special. But, I see you’re from TX, so I won’t hold it against you. Btw, did you help get Sheila Jackson Lee elected? She seems your type. I won’t be staying home this year. I’ll be voting, once again, for REAL Conservatives. You go ahead an vote for the liberals. While you’re at it, you might want to register that account @ DU, if you haven’t already.
Instead of attempting to beat and shame Conservatives into betraying their principles to vote for Ruling Class liberals instead of Conservatives, why don’t you save your energy and work to get Mexicans and Moderates to hand your party the votes you think it needs to “win” the Senate?
McConnell already told us he intends to surrender the Senate rules back to Democrats as a first act if they “win” - so it makes no difference which party is in the Majority - the status Quo of MarxoFascism will continue unimpeded.
Very well said!
No, McConnell vowed to “crush” three particular challengers to incumbent Senators.
He did not declare he wanted to crush the Tea Party voters.
Believing the spin the NY Times puts on things is unwise.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell vowed any tea party candidates challenging establishment Republicans in the 2014 midterm elections would not just fail but fail miserably.
I think we are going to crush them everywhere.
I dont think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.
Washington Times.
McConnell’s words are not limited to just 3 candidates, but the ENTIRE Tea Party movement:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on a conference call organized by Karl Roves Crossroads organization for large donors and their advisers on Oct. 30 that the Tea Party movement, in his view, is a nothing but a bunch of bullies that he plans to punch in the nose. - Breitbart.
Trying to spin McConnell’s actual contempt for Conservatives is what is unwise.
Perhaps you missed the implicit mocking tone directed at those who claim that I must vote Republican — I'm sorry, but the party does not own my vote, they need to give me somebody I can vote for.
Thank you.
(Judging by some of the responses, and the lack of counterargument on the points that the Republican party has proved itself useless, I think the satire hit home pretty well.)
Thank you.
Ive been saying constantly We The People have failed our Free Republic, we have a mandate to overthrow our corrupt, incompetent, criminal government, we have no excuse, and no one to blame but ourselves, yet we are content to point the finger anywhere and everywhere else, whilst pretending that whining and complaining will get things done, as long as we see the only solution as political, all will remain the same, IMO!
I agree — this is why I now vehemently reject the lesser of two evils
argument.
If a party [or person] wants my vote, they'd better be worth voting for.
