A major West African airline has stopped flying to Liberia and Sierra Leone amid growing concern about the spread of the deadly Ebola virus. Asky said it took the decision to keep "its passengers and staff safe during this unsettling time". The number of people killed by the virus in West Africa has now reached 672, according to new UN figures. In Sierra Leone, the doctor who led the fight against Ebola, Sheik Umar Khan, has died of the disease. Government officials hailed Dr Khan, 39, as a "national hero". The government disclosed last week that he was being treated for Ebola and had been quarantined. His death follows that of prominent Liberian doctor Samuel Brisbane at the weekend. Police deployed Ebola kills up to 90% of those infected, but patients have a better chance of survival if they receive early treatment. It spreads through contact with an infected person's bodily fluids.

By the way, get some tuna fish in the basement, this could be a long haul before you leave the house again. Walking dead zombies, laden with Ebola, banging at your door trying to get in,...I'm doing as Joe Biden advised and blasting through the door with my shotgun....It's all coming true, we're living in a B-Grade horror movie under Obama!
All the survivalists out there - it is your time to shine.
thanks, already there.
Maybe? Maybe?! Try like it should have been done already and should be done now, today, instantly.
There is no maybe about it.
Definitely. Isolate West Africa. I’m prepped.
Ok, beer is taking it too far. LOL.
I suspect they know that it’d never be effective. Flights would still continue from one African country to another. You’d skip over to Egypt, and catch a flight into Paris, and eight hours later be in Atlanta. So, it’d have to be an absolute ban on all airlines, period, within Africa for at least six weeks. Fat chance.
I’d also take a guess that some nutcase has already acquired a specimen or two, and could just drop some stuff into the subway system of DC, and have a 1,000 people dead from this within a month.

Eeeee-bolllll-aaaaaa ping!
Bring Out Your Dead
Were gonna need
a bigger cart!
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Perhaps you could include the pictures in a comment, and then send the ping with just the standard BOYD graphic.
Of course we SHOULD ban flights from infected areas.
But we won’t because “the optics look bad”.
>My 25 yo granddaughter teaches at an international school in Ghana.
Yesterday would be a good time to get away from that cesspool.
>Maybe we should ban all cars, trucks, or beer or anything else that mass kills our people daily.
Any vector of this plague should be refused admittance to the USA until quarantined.
Ummm...what?
Note that they did this on the 29th of JULY. Just after the Sawyer case became known widely.
Meanwhile, Brussels Airlines (from the city that houses the EU corruptocracy) still flies to Monrovia daily. It’s how the Dallas case got to travel internationally.
There is a effective spray that will work.
“DDT” is effective, it has saved many lives. True it was used indiscriminately and in incorrect ways ... It is also true many other insect treatments are used incorrectly.
HOWEVER” DDT” worked and saved many peoples lives. Many thousands/millions of people have died of malaria that came with the removal of “DDT” from use, as a result of the Book “Silent Spring”. There is a time and place for proper “DDT use. This is it!!! MOO
We should have a month ago. It’s eventually going to happen.
They’re so stupid.
Our government works for us but we let them run things on a single digit approval status
