And there is a LOT more contact in a family situation than in public places. No comparison, actually.

But then there is the examining room in the ER. A lot of contact there. And the bathroom on the plane and the airport and later at Walmart. A lot of potential contact - flight attendants, other passengers, immigration, TSA, hospital employees, ambulance drivers, on and on.

Yes, all risks. But in the family environment there is a much higher instance of both quality and quantity of contact. Not saying it can’t happen wherever a person has touched stuff, but it is more easily transmitted to people with whom you share a home. Much easier. In fact, it’s odd that only ONE person from the home has it. So far...
