It is vitally important that the Secret Service be on its “A” game for the next two years. Obama, arguably the least competent President in history (a record previously held by Jimmy Carter) MUST survive his tenure as President. If the unthinkable happened... He would become the martyr to end all martyrs. If you don’t like Obama now, just wait until every Main Street in every town and every other elementary school and airport are named after the guy. His name would be part of your lexicon for the rest of not just your life, but your children, and their children.
He’s just narcissistic enough to actually hope for this for himself. That’s even more frightening.

What do people believe would happen? The White House Secret Service detail is hand picked by this administration; hand picked so they don’t reveal things TMZ would go bankrupt over to put in print. These revelations are just coming to the surface now; can you even imagine what we have not heard about yet? Can you even imagine how compromised they must be at this point?
Whoever is in the White House next, if they value their lives they need to fire any and all who were on the White House detail as of the past half decade; probably the cook too.

The Secret Service is just another Federal agency. What makes anyone think it’s not as effed up as all the other FedGov departments?

I’m not as worried about the lax presidential security by the Secret Service. I’m more concerned about their other great responsibility...protecting the integrity of the nation’s currency. If they’re screwing up presidential security this badly, you can imagine the potential for catastrophic error in apprehending counterfeiters.
Some orders have to be given verbally.
