Does it involve some kind of a nuclear detonation?

I really want to see that timeline but can’t seem to bring it up at the link. Is there a better link someone might have?

Thank you in advance.

Levin called on conservatives to rally behind one or two candidates who are “articulate, intelligent, charismatic.”

There's really only one choice, Ted Cruz.

RE :”“From an election perspective, it keeps happening,” Levin said. “The Republican establishment picks off conservatives.”
To prevent this from happening during the presidential primaries, Levin called on conservatives to rally behind one or two candidates who are “articulate, intelligent, charismatic.”Once that occurs, he said, the grassroots should rally behind those candidates.
“I can’t stand another election where I turn on the TV somewhere and am told the only one who can win is [Sen. John] McCain and the only one who can win is [Mitt] Romney.”

It sounds so simple Mark as do all your plans, except I don't remember you doing that in 2011 and 2012.
Maybe because there were none.

Maybe cause you knew that neither Newt, Rick, nor Michelle were getting that nomination, much less anywhere near the WH.

To beat the establishment candidate we need an alternative with a WINNING record.

That ruled out those three.

Mark, Reagan had a real record when he ran in 1980.

It’s astounding how poorly all but a very few conservative “possibles” can articulate conservative principles.

They are such simple knuckle-dragging concepts, right? So how come there are maybe 8 people in all of Congress who can discuss them as if they have any familiarity with them at all?

This is NOT the America of 1976 or 1980.

Just because the formula Reagan stuck to eventually succeeded, does not mean that same approach is guaranteed success today. The current culture and government has an oligarchy now in firm control of society and their parties behind their ramparts.

The Mob does not allow itself to be reformed by civil means.

I like Mark’s ideas, the problem is he has no contingency for circumventing real-world institutionalized tyranny and corruption.

For a man who preaches that Washington will not allow itself to be reformed and that ‘fixing’ the federal beast will have to come from OUTSIDE the entire system - I’m baffled that his solution in this case is to once again attempt to make a liberal party, Conservative when Mississippi ought to have been instructive as to the futility of working within a corrupted party.

The Founders could not reform the tyranny of king and Parliament, why we continue to delude ourselves that we can do so is an absolute rejection of reality and yet another symptom of Normalcy Bias.

I agree with Mark that this is the only path to a primary victory for a conservative. It sounds simple enough, but it remains to be seen how simple it will be in execution. Ted Cruz appears to be the probable candidate with the largest percentage of grassroots conservative support going into the primaries. But, conservatives have been most notable in recent memory for splitting the vote and letting the GOP-e candidate waltz into the general nearly untouched.

Problem is there's about a dozen people out there calling themselves conservative and believing they are more "articulate, intelligent, charismatic" than the other guys. How do you keep all but two or three from running?

I read the article and saw zero mention of the Electoral College.

We have great potential candidates, and in my dreams Cruz would be elected by a landslide.. but we somehow have to solve the Electoral College problem.
