Report: Obama Has Missed over Half His Second-Term Daily Intel Briefings
Breitbart ^ | 9/29/14 | Wynton Hall

Posted on 09/29/2014 11:42:24 PM PDT by Nachum

A new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) report reveals that President Barack Obama has attended only 42.1% of his daily intelligence briefings (known officially as the Presidential Daily Brief, or PDB) in the 2,079 days of his presidency through September 29, 2014.

The GAI report also included a breakdown of Obama’s PDB attendance record between terms; he attended 42.4% of his PDBs in his first term and 41.3% in his second.

The GAI’s alarming findings come on the heels of Obama’s 60 Minutes comments on Sunday, wherein the president laid the blame for the Islamic State’s (ISIS) rapid rise squarely at the feet of his Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

“I think our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria,” said Obama.

According to Daily Beast reporter Eli Lake, members of the Defense establishment were “flabbergasted” by Obama’s attempt to shift blame.

“Either the president doesn’t read the intelligence he’s getting or he’s bullshitting,” a former senior Pentagon official “who worked closely on the threat posed by Sunni jihadists in Syria and Iraq” told the Daily Beast.

On Monday, others in the intelligence community similarly blasted Obama and said he’s shown longstanding disinterest in receiving live, in-person PDBs that allow the Commander-in-Chief the chance for critical followup, feedback, questions, and the challenging of flawed intelligence assumptions.

He isn’t the least bit interested in intelligence briefings - that might be too much like work, and interfere with his vacations, golf and fundraising activities. Priorities, ya know?

We basically need two presidents. One to go around, making speeches and attending fund-raisers....golfing...hanging out with lobbyists. I’d call him the fake president.

Then you have the second guy....who goes to intel briefings, talks with Congressional leaders daily, sends personal condolence letters to relatives of those lost in the war on terror, and running CEO-like actions from the Oval Office as a routine matter. I’d call him the real president.

This way....everyone feels happy about the right guy in the right job, and things get done.

I’d call him the real president.

I've spent 5 1/2 years wishing we had a real president.

That little bitch Clapper should have made the Kenyan grifter to to these meetings !sarc.

In reality that SOB could have gone to every one of these intelligence briefings and his pointy head would have made the same conclusions. You can fix stupid or shifty.

No big deal, after all Obama is so smart he doesn’t need to be actually there for his Intel briefing....

Just attach them to his score card when he golfs....

Our incompetent and irresponsible president, the leader of the free world, can’t be bothered.

And those who voted him into office don’t really care, anyway - after all, his skin is the right color, and he’s helping to make millions of illegal aliens into Democrat voters.

Seriously questioning which side this clown is on.

Doesn’t appear to be ours.

Too damn lazy ... and besides, he obviously enjoys talking more than listening.

Obama reminds me of Zaphrod Beeblebrox, the president of the galaxy in Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. As described in the guide, one would at first not consider Zaphrod to be qualified to be the president, or to be a very good one. However, that was only because people didn't understand the role of president of the galaxy. The president was not supposed to wield power and authority, he was supposed to distract the public from noticing the real powers in charge of the galaxy. And considering he has spent over a third of his presidency in prison on various fraud charges, Zaphrod was in fact the most wildly successful president the galaxy ever had.

Face it liberals, he’s just not up for the job of president. We told you he wasn’t qualified, you wouldn’t listen. Now his incompetence is going to get a lot of people killed and may even cause another world war. Is that what you wanted when you voted for him because of his skin color?

As King, the Slimeball-In-Chief doesn't bother with his score card. There is a Secret Service flunky who follows His Majesty around, keeping score. If asked, the Flunky-In-Charge-Of-The-Royal-Score-Card will always say the King is shooting par golf.

In 1994, it was reported by Pyongyang media outlets that Kim Jong Il shot 38 under par on a regulation 18-hole golf course – including 5 holes in one! That score is 25 shots better than the best round in history, and is made even more amazing by the fact that it was his first time playing the sport. It’s said Kim Jong Il would routinely sink 3 or 4 holes in one per round of golf, and – lucky for the PGA – he has since given it up.

Our King, tho, is honest...

Obama takes daily intelligence briefings in writing, he explained, because no one will be able to testify about warning the president in person about threats that the White House doesn't act on,

No one would set up a procedure like this unless he knew up front that he was going to ignore whatever intelligence his staff brought him.

It's no fun sitting through those boring meetings when you're all doped up and your mind is soaring through the universe.
