Presuming Manbearpig got a second term, how does Cassie think that Klobuchar would’ve won a Senate seat in 2006 ? 2006 would’ve been a landslide reaction against Gore and Mark Kennedy would’ve won the race (and a lot of the 2000 turds that floated in would’ve been flushed).

Man, 2006 in reverse would have been sweet.

Burns, Allen, Talent, DeWine, Santorum and Chafee all win re-election with no anti-Bush wave to sink them, plus one or two races may not draw strong challengers (i.e., Sherrod Brown doesn't run against DeWine).

Instead, Cantwell, Stabenow, Ben Nelson, and Bill Nelson get pressed hard and most, if not all, get beaten. Kent Conrad may even get scared into retirement. Kennedy wins MN when Mark Dayton cuts and runs.

Plus we have a better chance of knocking off Menendez in New Jersey and Steele actually wins in Maryland. Perhaps Governor Jim Douglas gets inspired to run in Vermont and actually blocks the socialist Sanders from moving to the Senate.

The GOP probably ends up with a filibuster-proof majority when all is said and done.
