Roberts has run a terrible campaign. He believes in the divine right of sons of the Republican National Committee Chairman. A new campaign team has been imposed on him, the are just now starting to hit the airways.

Another difference between the right and left.....the right thinks their constituents are smart so they don’t have to repeat anything, and the left KNOWS theirs are STUPID so they repeat and repeat and repeat until it soaks in.

“And on the biggest question of all — Would he caucus with Democrats or Republicans? — Orman insists he’s not sure”

I suspect Harry Reid and the DNC are at least pretty sure. If it was likely that Orman would caucus with the GOP, I doubt the Democratic candidate (Chad Taylor) would have stepped aside so willingly. Kansas is their best chance at thwarting a GOP majority in the Senate (or at least making the odds that much longer). Conceding it a guy they thought likely to join the Republicans just wouldn’t make a lot of sense.

King in Maine and Manchin in WV may both caucus with the GOP if they win the majority, despite being left-wingers.

It’s about power. They don’t want to be shut out. Manchin already has more to fear, as WV is rapidly realigning back to the GOP (which it had been last from 1895-1933) and he’ll likely be the sole federal Democrat come January (with the replacement of Rockefeller and the defeat of Rahall).
