The State of Israel government is embarrassed by religious fundamentalists such as might be serious about a rebuilt Temple, and would never allow it.
Any serious attempt would be under the authority of the Ashkenazi and Sefardi Councils of Torah Sages, which the Temple Institute is not.
Christians and other outsiders wildly underestimate the difficulties, even if there were no Muslim threat.

Thank you. I looked and hadn't found anything about who is behind the Institute.

Or even impossibilities for now. "Shindig" in my earlier comment was an allusion to the many good difficulties to precede the rebuilding--not the rebuilding itself. So see? I still ask for trouble.

“Idiots everywhere” was a reference to the likes of those with “hooks in their jaws” (and many others before).
