Queers: "We are the 2.3%". 07/15/2014 192kb.pdf
I have read articles where some people believe queers make up 20+ percent of our population. Gotta give the queers credit. They can make their group appear much larger than it is.
So, even if you double the number of queers to 5%, you have have 5% of 5% or 1/4th of 1% who have any claim whatsoever to the popular slogan of "marriage equality" and, in reality, less than that.
For this, we are supposed to overturn an entire legal system based on traditional heterosexual marriage? It would make more sense to say the entire eastern half of the United States should adopt a legal system based on the Amish religious order, because the proportions are fairly comparable.
Last year, the CDC put out another large survey that somewhat challenges the data in the one you posted.
I did not save the link - sorry.
I believe they just asked males these questions:
(1) Sex with another male, in last year - 3%
(2) Sex with another male, in last 5 years - 4%
(3) Sex with another male, entire life - 5%
There is another CDC study, possibly this same one, that disclosed something I've never read elsewhere.
One third of all males who had male-to-male sex as teenagers never had male-to-male sex again after age 25.
I thought that number somewhat put the lie to the idea that gay males are “born” gay, and that they stay that way for life.
