Exactly what it comes down to. It’s a no-brainer when it comes down to what is at stake. Roberts can be replaced in the next election or he retires and we can replace him with someone even more conservative.

Right you are. Roberts has the "no-brain" vote locked down. The question is what does the rest of Kansas do?
