But now that Harry Reid and Democrats went for the nuclear option, there will be no filibuster or delays in confirming a new attorney general. Meaning that Obama can nominate a liberal radical type, and know that Harry Reid can ram it through the Senate with 51 votes, and have this happen before the election. Or they may choose to do it during the lame duck session of Congress after election day.
Reid’s assignment: Get the replacement through with 51 votes (McCain + Graham ?) BEFORE the new Senate convenes in January.
