THAT means we have to start thinking or ourselves as AMERICANS, again... and NOT go on regarding ourselves as just a bunch of people who live in North America!!
It is not, and never was in the best interests of Liberals, for Americans to stand together and to be PROUD of our solidarity and our nationality.
So true, and like the song be “ Proud to be an American”... That’s what the
original immigrants wanted and unfortunately the “ what’s in it for me” crowd
has shattered that form of “ real pride”
My grandparents came here with the hope and expectation of the OPPORTUNITY to work their a$#es off and DID!!
The place they left was SO bad that coming here and working like crazy WAS an improvement and a tremendous opportunity!!
In the place they left, it didn’t matter HOW MUCH you worked, you could KILL yourself and NOT GET AHEAD... They KNEW they were lucky to be American!!
