The 1920 gun control act was nothing but class warfare.
After four years of horrific trench warfare, Tommy was returning from France with all those captured German pistols & rifles, and the potential for armed unrest against those who had ordered the mass carnage of the Great War could not be ignored by the ruling classes.
The Russian Revolution and subsequent murder of the Tsar and his family who were kin to the British Royals, scared the crap out of the British leaders.
That was why the first gun control act was passed.
From what I understand...those who exibited PTSD on the battlefield were shot on the spot.
...........very interesting!
Cant disagree. The 1920 law was the worst of the lot.
