Sad but true. I just wonder why they’re so surprised, so caught off-guard. The left has made it clear for decades where they stand on Israel, and I know that even though Jewish leftists will let that pass, even they couldn’t possibly let the accompanying escalation in anti-Semitism pass.

Doubt it will have any impact. Quinn has visited Israel several times, and has been roundly criticized for it by his political opponents which will easily neutralize the U of I controversy. Which most on the left would characterize as an expression of free speech. Which it was, I simply differ in that I think employers taking that into account in hiring decisions is fine.
