Progressives behind the relentless push to recruit U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren as the anti-Hillary Clinton candidate for 2016 have picked an odd model in their quest for a far-left victory the hard-right Tea Party.
I think there is a cross-partisan prairie fire exploding across the country, said Ryan Clayton, a left-leaning strategist who has blasted Clinton in a secret progressive email chain obtained by the Herald. Clayton went on to brand Warren as the lefts version of Tea Party darling Rand Paul.
Thats why you have people like Rand Paul on the Republican side and Elizabeth Warren on the Democratic side. There is a political class in Washington, D.C., that pays zero attention to the needs of ordinary Americans like us.
Clayton went even further in an email linked to Gamechanger Salon, featuring emails from Ready for Warren social media maven Bill Wimsatt, Neil Sroka of Democracy for America, and several other leftist activists and Huffington Post columnists.
Clayton wrote, Noticed this quote in an article about Tea Partiers picking off establishment Republicans in primaries seemed relevant to this conversation: We had a name ID advantage, we have a money advantage, but we didnt have an excitement advantage, you know? And we lost.
Clayton added, Seems that enthusiasm often trumps traditional advantages, especially in primary elections. When asked about the email yesterday, Clayton confirmed his views and vowed progressives will launch an anti-establishment Democrat in 2016 no matter what.
I think having a rigorous primary election will create a better candidate no matter who comes out of it, he said. There will be someone else, the issues will be debated and the progressive issues will be debated one way or another. I just hope Warren responds to that demand.
The emails, which run from September 2013 to June 2014, reveal a group of progressives outraged by former Secretary of State Clintons so-called cozy relationship with Wall Street and hailing Warren as the voice of the left.
Those on the email chain have organized Ready for Warren showings at high-profile Clinton events. The email chain warns, Do Not Forward without permission. Youll be removed.
Talking up Warren is win-win, wrote Robert Naiman of the left-leaning Just Foreign Policy. If she runs, we win. If she doesnt run, we still win. The greater her buzz, the greater her power.
Clayton said, She says shes currently not running for president, which every presidential candidate has said at one point or another. I see her running for president and I see her changing the country for the better.
Tea Party... hard right? Who are they kidding?
Occupy Wall Street worked so well...
With the exception of Sen. Cruz,
the EXEMPT GOP voted to the left of Sen Warren
to arm al Qaeda.
It will never work. Progressives are top down herd animals. The tea party grew from individuals.
I thought the Tea Party was dead?
What is a “hard right” ?
Pretty funny cuz the Americans (what this calls “hard right”) are just now getting around to emulating the left’s way of protesting.
She could be the very next president of the United States.
Once they open the border and start paying those people to vote, we’ll have Marxism everywhere. :)
What is a hard right ?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Last I heard, it was used by Bristol Palin at a brawl in Alaska. I guess it was news worthy because she was left handed? If she is that good at it, she too should run for office. We could use a tough woman candidate, not a democrat fluff.
If Republicans stay home again Al Sharpton could become the next prez...

If that's the case she's not going very far.
Could someone explain to me what could possibly qualify this opportunistic liar to be president of the United States after 2 years in the senate.
Rand Paul is a patriot. Elizabeth Warren is a lying Marxist.
THE IS A DIFFERENCE!
We must’ve made quite a dent in their backsides.
Anybody less communist than Vladimir Illyich.
The ‘hard-right’ has tactics?
Are they referring to the GOP’s ‘bend over the desk’ tactics?
