I hope our Cruz has brushed up on community organizing, Alinsky style, because it has been on that grassroots field where the Marxists patiently advanced their themes, over years of effort, and it’s where we have not begun to engage.
Anglos and conservatives tend to hang around and wait for the ballot casting to commence, as if that is the end-all.
From what I understand about Alinsky, it is not a path for the lazy, but is constant and active with plenty of leg work for banging on doors, setting meetings, formulating agendas, goals, ballot questions, petitions and getting turn out, turn out, turn out. And, starting all over to do it all again, and again, over the course of YEARS.
The TEA Party came the closest as a conservative grassroots effort, years late to the new game in town, but it has made a mark if it wills itself to GROW and not retreat.
