Alex Salmond has raised the prospect of Scotland unilaterally declaring independence without another referendum as he abandoned his promise to accept the result and claimed that No voters were tricked. Despite it being illegal, the First Minister argued the Scottish Parliament could say Scotland was leaving the United Kingdom at the point at which it had been devolved so many powers it was effectively independent. The First Minister appeared to blame elderly Scots, who were most hostile to leaving the UK, for holding back younger generations and argued that independence is inevitable after they die off

He sounds like a liberal appointed judge. To hell with the will of the people through voting.
He certainly learned from the EU elites. The votes don’t matter; either get the people to vote again the “right” way or just ram it through at the top government level.
Clear you history/cache and try again.
Salmond realizes that he has a long-term winner, so he is rattling England’s chain.
The UK isn’t just England.
Salmond wants to be free of hegemony of Wales,Northern Ireland,Cornwall, and Isle of Man.
Damn those Celtic people, they ruined Scotland!
Salmond is missing a key point. As the elderly die off, they are replaced by.....the neo-elderly. He doesn’t understand a point made so eloquently by Churchill: “If you’re young and not liberal, you don’t have a heart. If you’re old and not conservative, you don’t have a brain.”
He’s exposing himself as the likely Bolshevik that he is.
Exactly!
Yeh I think the tribe has spoken.

Damn NO vote, creating jobs and opportunities....
BAE now able to invest £200 million in Clyde Frigate Factory
by George Allison · September 19, 2014
‘Now that Scotland has voted NO and paved the way for further Ministry of Defence work in Scotland, the defence giant BAE have announced that the contract to build the £200 million frigate construction facility will be put out to tender next week.’

Here is an article which expands on Alex Salmond’s perfectly reasonable concern:
‘The Scottish government has ordered 32,000 square miles of foil, six million rolls of gaffer tape and 800,000 wooden poles on which the foil will sit, allowing normal life to continue underneath.
A spokesman said: As of this morning 90,000 brave Scots had signed an online petition claiming the referendum was rigged. It would have been more than four million, but everyone else is now too scared to use a computer.
...
Meanwhile, the tiny country has sub-divided into yet more tribes, each labelling itself with a number representing a historic failure from Scottish history.
The 45 is modelled on the disastrous Jacobite rebellion of 1745, while The 78 hopes to emulate Scotlands success in the 1978 World Cup, including a 3-1 defeat to Peru and a 1-1 draw with Iran...’

What I would love to know is how long this democratic mandate to tell the SNP to go and stuff themselves will last. Salmond has now been demanding that WM hand over sovereignty to Scotland, presumably so he can have some legal basis to issue a UDI in future. I’m concerned Cameron or whoever succeeds him might concede on this point too in the coming devolution package, considering how Salmond managed to stitch them up by gerrymandering the vote in such an outrageous way by allowing foreigners and children to vote, whilst excluding Scottish expats and troops stationed outside of Scotland.
Part of me does wonder if contingency plans should be put in place to relocate strategic assets to England in the event that a future referendum goes the other way.
Some of us watched in 1978, and have just about blanked from our minds. Except Archie Gemmill’s moment of genius of course.....

Weird coincidence. Blame the elderly? That simpleton Sarah Silverman said the same thing about Jewish parents who wouldn't support Obama.
