Our famously gaffe-prone vice president, Joe Biden, has outdone himself. He stumbled through not one, not two, but three gaffes in less than 24 hours. For him, that's a personal best or, more accurately, a personal worst..
Yet if it is better to be criticized than ignored in politics, he can take little comfort from the way that hardly anyone outside of the Republican National Committee, whose website called it "Gaffetastic," seemed to care.

Biden is the one of the reasons the left is shoving the damaged Presidential hopeful Hillary down our throats. They are quietly hoping Biden does not run in 2016.
The three gaffes in question are calling lenders to military members "Shylocks", calling east Asia "the Orient" and admitting that we may have to put boots on the ground in the fight against ISIS.
The first may have anti-Semitic reference to the Jewish lender in Merchant of Venice. The second I have never understood the offense at just as I wouldn't be offended to being referred to as Western or Occidental. And the third is the classic political definition of gaffe: telling the truth when it is uncomfortable. With special forces, intelligence, spotting and air rescue I would be very surprised that we don't already have boots on the ground there. And considering the respect Islamic terrorists have on front lines, anywhere in the world from Mosul to Ft. Hood could be considered a location to have boots on the ground.
Crazy uncle in the White House attic.
In a Tuesday speech, he made unfortunate news by referring to unscrupulous lenders of bad loans to military service members as “Shylocks.”
The next day in Des Moines, only hours after apologizing for the Shylock remark, he referred to Asia as “the Orient.”
“We’ll determine that,” he told a reporter, “based on how the effort goes.”
Crazy, drunk, ... whatever.
BUT, what is wrong with these 3 supposed gaffes ?
” But the thought that the gaffe-prone Palin,...”
The leftist Chicago Tribune is referring to Palin’s comment that you could see Russia from Alaska, not FROM HER KITCHEN WINDOW as has been reported by the leftist media. There are two or three islands belonging to Russia which are visible from Alaska, any one of which could mount gear to bomb Alaska.
As odd as it sounds, a lot of these people confused, perhaps deliberately, the SNL impersonation with the real Sarah Palin.
Did they ever matter? To whom?
A compilation ought to kill any 2016 campaign he might attempt.
Sure, but let Dan Quayle misspell “potato(e) or Pres. Bush Say”nu-Q-ler” and the libs wouldn’t let it go.
Oh, no. Good ol’ Uncle Joe is just the person the Democrats need to restore the party faithful in 2016, doncha know. But for Joe to have a shot at the nomination, the Current Occupant now squatting in the Oval Orifice of the White Hut must be talked into turning in his resignation. Then Joe assumes the Presidency, just like Gerald Ford did in 1974, to use it as the springboard for nomination in his own right.
Good ol’ Uncle Joe, he’s not looking so bad right now. He might even listen to the military specialists who would be advising him.
Never forget Joe’s *gaffe* about the Seals.
He’s not been impeached, why?
I’d far rather have Biden as POTUS than the Obama. Biden is an idiot, but at least he’s our kind of idiot. Whatever the Obama is, he’s not an American kind of anything.
The libexcuse is that he’s “from a different era” (i.e. ALL older white people are bigots).
I loathe Stalinist who lie about their concerns for racism and lie about history, and lie well basically about everything.
From Wikipedia (Orient): Because of historical discrimination against Chinese and Japanese, in some parts of the United States, some people consider the term [Oriental] derogatory. For example, Washington state prohibits the word “Oriental” in legislation and government documents, preferring the word “Asian” instead.
Remember, the same people that call Sarah Palin stupid Voted for Obama / Biden not once, but twice.
Didn’t he also speak about reaching across the aisle to work with Bob Packwood (while he was addressing a womyn’s conference)?
Still silly. Asian can describe anyone from Turkey to Signapore, from Israel to Japan. Also this introduces the confusion in English where in the US Asian is now a code word for Eastern Asian (Japanese through Indonesian) while in Britain it is a code word for Indians and Pakistanis.
