I’m curious.
What percentage of the Congress, the House, the Senate, Dems, Independents and Republicans would we Freepers consider to be CONSERVATIVES?
My guess: 5 to 10 percent tops for the GOP. Half that for Congress as a whole.
If that is correct, why are we surprised when the votes by the GOP leaders in the House and Senate are often on the liberal side. The GOP is on the liberal side. The leaders are chosen by that liberal majority. We have a long way to go until we have a conservative majority in Congress or even in our own party. Like it or not, that’s just the way it is.
I suggest less whining and more work.
More like 5-10 people at best.
Less whining is needed. 100% agreement. The problem is that you have a group of liberals determined to elect more of their kind as long as an R is attached. This latest carved in steel example shows how liberal the GOP is.
Before any serious identification of people in office, we need to finally have the serious identification of who ‘we’ are individually. No one wants to have that come to Jesus meeting because it is going to be a major blow up in which no one can keep pretending their online BFF is a ‘staunch rock ribbed conservative’ anymore.
When a person spends their days using FR as a tool to promote the RINO wing ‘no matter what’...as many do every day, they stand in opposition to everything conservatives identify as conservative. So what is their purpose? It isn’t promoting conservative candidates. They consistently promote RINOs OVER conservative to WIN!!!!
Look what they won.
Once again we mistakenly named ‘purists’ have been proven 100% right. Everything we said has happened. And we are villified for what? practicing principle instead of situational ethics.
Until conservatism here and everywhere defines who and what it is we actually believe in, we go nowhere because under the current system, the RINOs and open libs are doing a bang up job keeping our guys out of power and using our ‘institutions to do it.
And cults of personality are a big part of why.
