I hold that if Americans knew about the excess (on all levels) around the WDC area, there would be a repeat of the French revolution.

I concur. I represented a highly regulated company in WDC. My first assignment was to fly to WDC and attend a FERC meeting. It cost my company $1500 to fly me there, another $200 (it was 20 years ago) for the hotel and I don't remember the food bill. You know what we did there? We spent 4 hours determining when we could meet again. It was unbelievable watching the highly paid lawyers in their $1000 suits wasting precious time and their clients' money negotiating their calendars! Walking down the streets you could feel the immense government buildings (the bureaucracies) vacuuming the money out of your pockets. And yes, I am moving from very angry to very sad.

As long as the very high Ranger standards are met, I am OK with allowing women to compete. If standards are lowered, well then, those who pass the new lowered standards, by definition ARE NOT true Rangers.

Any society that sends its women to fight before it sends non-shaving boys and cane-borne old men deserves to be destroyed, and will be by societies that do not make that mistake.
