That kind of conspiracy theory is a bit silly in this case. The Duke lacrosse team was a victim of a prosecutor who was running for election and pandering to a leftwing university community to support a popular type of liberal victim. It isn’t remotely similar to this case.
If your brother were murdered, would you want to kill just anyone right away to say you “solved it”, or would you actually be a teeny bit interested in finding the real murderer? These troopers aren’t running for office or pandering to a political group, they are trying to find the man shooting at, wounding and killing them. They WANT the RIGHT guy.
If my brother were murdered it would be a conflict of interest for me to be on the team chasing suspects.
Under our legal system, this man is a suspect, he is guaranteed by our laws his day in court to face charges against him.
