It’s actually very easy to defuse ridicule - you simply have to call it out and deride it for what it is.

I remember one Piers Morgan show where Suze Orzman or whatever her name is called a pro-traditional marriage advocate “uneducated” along with some other epithets. He then asked her why she was being so rude when he was simply arguing logically and had not said anything offensive to her whatsoever.

A silence went through the crowd as they all realized he was right.

“It’s actually very easy to defuse ridicule”

Agreed, and here is why -
Their (so-called) ridicule/mockery consists of nothing but distortions of truth. Lies in fact.
It’s like the difference between sarcasm (not funny, corrosive, mean-spirited) and irony (funny)...
Ever notice how decidedly un-funny & humorless libs are?
It’s because all they do is lie! (Most of us grew beyond sarcasm by the end of 7th grade or so)...

When ridicule and mockery are based on truth, most commonly by exposing their hypocrisy, it IS funny (though it’s hard to take such dangerous, power-hungry clowns lightly, kwim?)...

The thing these narcissists FEAR the most is ignoring them. Shunning them.
What they HATE the most (& it makes them rage so deliciously!) is ridicule.
