A few hours after the Minnesota Vikings reinstated running back Adrian Peterson, who was indicted in a child injury case in which he allegedly hit his 4-year-old son repeatedly with a tree branch, KHOU in Houston reported there was a separate incident last year in which Peterson allegedly hit his son and left a scar.
KHOU in Houston said Peterson hit a different 4-year-old son last year, leaving a scar on the boy's forehead. That can be used as evidence in the current investigation, the report said.
(Update: TMZ reported, citing sources, that the case "went nowhere" because he did not strike the child, but the child accidentally hit his head on a carseat while Peterson was punishing him.)

So, in the update it says he did NOT hit the boy.
That makes the title of this piece misinformation.
Or am I missing something?
FReepers on this thread sicken me. The poor soul had defensive marks on his hands. His wounds were open. Peterson even landed a blow to the little guy’s scrotum. This is flat out abuse. I stand by my statement: Peterson needs horse whipped.
Sorry to disagree but to beat a 4 year old like in those pictures is not a man.
What could a 4 year old have done that bad to deserve that?
There is a big difference to taking the time to use a switch or a belt to your kids vs. clobbering, shaking or choking them. The former is known as punishment and the latter is known as physical abuse.
Latest is that Radisson has pulled sponsorship of Vikings and Cover Girl is being pressured to drop NFL via detourned pictures of bruised women

Brother from another mother. Well at least Peterson doesn’t play favorites. He beats them equally.
I see this as worse than Ray Rice. The abused in that case is an adult. This little guy is only four. What Peterson did to him is barbaric.
I'm sure next we'll find out he made his sons eat oatmeal.
yes...just saw a tweet where someone referred to Peterson’s saying his dad used to discipline him the same way...and noted his dad served 10 years in prison...
It says it didn’t go anywhere, so apparently it was checked out.
I’m more inclined to convict people of things that can be proven than of things that can’t be proven.
For decades they have been BEGGING black fathers to help raise their black sons (that used to a be a given, before liberals destroyed black families), so this guy does what he’s told and doesn’t take no crap from the kid.
...and now he goes through the meat grinder. Maybe liberals need to admit what they REALLY WANT from black men: Which is make babies and then GET OUT OF THE WAY.
My wife was severely abused by her parents, both mentally and physically to the point of drawing blodo. To this day it haunts her.
There is restrained corporal punishment and then there is abuse. Peterson crosses the line into severe abuse.
It’s a pattern and I choose to look at patterns. He won’t be convicted of that one it sure points to a serious problem.
The kid(s) are 4 and barely have a comprehension of right and wrong.
“The kid(s) are 4 and barely have a comprehension of right and wrong.”
I agree. That’s why trying to reason with them doesn’t work.
One of his OTHER kids was flat-out murdered a few years ago by a stepdad.
There’s physical punishment and then there’s wailing on your kid in an uncontrolled manner while the kid is trying to defend himself.
An average 4-year-old weighs 40 lbs. How big is AP?
It’s a chain of violence that begins in the home and ends on the streets of the ghetto.
And all 5-7 of AP’s kids are experiencing it.
It’s can’t be used as a pattern if the news report itself says he didn’t strike the kid and the case went nowhere.
"Boy, is he strict."
