Damn! I had no idea she was an expert on the historical basis of chauvinism. Also, saying the President "throws like a girl" isn't meant to demean girls. It's meant to demean the President. Most girls don't throw like a boy does...it's a fact. So does that mean that every difference between the way a boy does something versus the way a girl does it is an avenue towards demeaning the difference? Her solution is to throw millions of dollars into teaching boys not to make fun of the differences. Given the effectiveness of the two ways to throw a ball, why not spend those millions teaching the girls how to throw a ball better? Or would it make more sense to let the parents decide how to raise their kids in terms of their social sensibilities and save the millions of dollars?

I was brought up before this nonsense. I was taught to respect women, to protect women.
When I was a young man if I had hit a woman my dad would have tracked me down and whooped my ass beyond belief! But then I had a dad at home. But then hitting a women was not AN ACCEPTED part of the culture. When society starts being detroyed ( abortion on demand, homosexual marriage, prayer taken out of the schools etc.) then getting bent because a group of men fel hitting women is okay is a little hypocritical.

LOL - the first thing boys do when they meet is to fight, just for the fun of it. Then we teach them to treat girls the same way they treat boys which leads to accusations of sexism, then we try to teach boys to be just like girls so they stop hitting girls. . .these folks are so hosed.
