Yes, that’s true. This is not the only refinery in the US the Saudis are involved in.

This article is about a year old but I thought it was relevant to what is going on now.

But you make a good point ... this is not the total of the Saudis involvement in US businesses and critical industries and infrastructure.

It goes back to 1902 when it was Texas Company which would become Texaco. It was built to process Spindletop oil.

Then it became the Port Arthur Refinery, then Star Enterprises and finally Motiva in 2002. Saudi Arabia bought their stake in 1989.
