If you're trying to make moral equivalence between a divorced woman dating someone for a few weeks in comparison to a married Governor disappearing and staying out of touch not only with his famly but even with his office, then resurfacing with claims of having been unable to resist his feelings for his "soulmate" while still married -- FAIL.
The new guy seems a good match for her at first glance. Maybe his arrival on the scene set off the drinking and rage reaction in the guy who dumped her that have become the subject of the lawsuit. He doesn't want her any more, but no one else can have her, either.
