Video footage from Wednesday's attempted armed robbery at a Six Corners market shows the store owner fending off an assailant who allegedly stuck a fake gun in his face.
"He put it in my mouth," said the owner of Walnut Convenience Store, who pulled out a real gun after fighting 20-year-old Fernell Pelzer.
Pelzer pleaded with the shop owner not to hurt him, according to ABC40 News, which obtained store surveillance footage of the crime being committed.
"I say, 'I'm not gonna shoot ya,' and I was holding him till the cops got here, and that's what I did," the owner told ABC40 reporter Brendan Monahan.
Pelzer was held on $5,000 bail following his arraignment Thursday in Springfield District Court on charges of armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Pelzer's defense attorney told the judge that her client, whose address was unavailable, works as a neighborhood recruiter for ARISE for Social Justice and plans to attend Holyoke Community College.

maye he needed tuition money to turn his life around, yeah, that's it.
In other words,he's a community organizer.
Pelzer was unarmed.
Was he also a gentle giant?
If Obama had a son...
“Give me the money or I’ll blow my head off”
You got it.
‘...works as a neighborhood recruiter for ARISE for Social Justice...’
Doesnt this just say it all! IOWs he’s entitled b/c of {blah blah} past ‘injustices’.
Then theres this gem....
‘The weapon used by the store owner to fend off the alleged robber was a properly registered and licensed handgun, police spokesman Sgt. John Delaney said.’
Only in the delusional liberal cesspool called MA would it make a difference. If it werent the case the store owner would be looking at a mandatory year in prison but its quite likely the robber would have walked. Sweet huh?!
Wow a 6 year old who understands what the NRA is. Simply amazing!!!! /s
He'll be pleading a lot with his cellmate Big Bubba.
