I am willing to bet that within a few years the vast majority of same sex “marriages” will be between 2 heterosexual males or 2 heterosexual females for tax reasons, health insurance, dry cleaning discounts, etc.
There are very few homosexuals out there and most have no desire to be “married”.
On the other hand there are tens of millions of single adults out there who could benefit from sham marriages.
Now that the “no fault” divorce supporters and homosexualists have totally destroyed the sanctity of legal marriage, I think friends of the same sex will start “marrying” for financial benefits. Since “marriage” is now a big joke, heterosexuals will go along with the joke and marry for convenience and it will be easier when it is with a “partner” that you know there will never be sexual attraction or tension with.
I think your assessment is correct. And a marriage partner that would have no problem if you “cheated” on them with someone else, since there is really no emotional attachment really comes full circle back to the “Civil Unions” that were not good enough.
