The statue requires that a replacement be named. Of course that completely ruins the Democrat plan, it depends on a blank line for the Democrat.
When the Kansas Supremes rule against one part of the statute, what’s to stop them from overruling the part that says a replacement must be named?
Right. Nothing.
Judges will make law, Democrats will get what they want and Republicans will, as usual, do nothing as long as they keep getting invited to the right cocktail parties.
