I will take a Republican that I agree with 60% of the time any day over a dem or other candidate I disagree with 100% of the time!

I used to belileve this. Every election came around and I contributed to the party, worked at the Pub hdgtrs, worked as an election judge and then following the election watched the Pubs fall into line with their DC establishment "betters". Over the years I became disenchanted and stopped contributing to the GOP and gave contributions to candidates. Then the TEA Party revolution came and I was re-energized. I then watched as the GOPe instead of embracing the movement systematically began marginalizing the TEA Party and it's candidates. If a TEA PARTY candidate won that person was marginalized by the leadership.

The final straw was when the GOPe voted to exempt themselves and their staffs from obamacare, but yet decided it was okay to impose it on me and mine. Now I don't work at the local Pub office and have removed myself from it's membership list. I won't be an election judge. I will only contribute to and vote for a conservative. If a conservative is not on the ballot I won't vote.

I understand your frustration, I have been stuck John McCain forever.... Every primary I vote for the the more conservative candidate running against McCain but McCain wins so on Election Day I begrudgingly vote McCain. I would prefer every Republican office holder be strong conservatives but we deal with the hand we have even if it is weak. I think the conservative movement has made tremendous progress over a relatively short period of time. It sucks to have to vote for a weak Republican but the dem’s are counting on tea party conservatives to stay at home so they can win.
