You sure have a unique memory of what the Soviet empire was, and how it was created, what it meant for the enslaved, and what it took for the Russians to keep it enslaved for so long.

It was created the same way our Pilgrims initially set up their communes. Everyone worked and everyone shared. Possible a noble idea, but history has proved it doesn't work.

Poor Russians, after living in serfdom and then communism, are hated and blamed for everything. Bur now under a democracy, they seem to be moving forward, while we are going in the other direction.
