I didn’t really know any of this...just knew that I didn’t like him - and can NOT imagine having an affair with him. YUK! Do not find him the least bit appealing.

Most of the women I know share your sentiments on Letterman. But, he’s always been a media favorite and he kisses the right butts at CBS—one reason the network paid him (at one time) $20 million a year for a show that always trailed Jay Leno and often finished behind Nightline when it aired at 11:30. The suits at ABC were laughing all the way to the bank; they had a news show that was (comparatively) cheap to produce, and the combined, on-air talent expense was equal to a little more than one month’s salary for Letterman.
I’ve heard from some folks in the biz that Letterman was thinking about hanging around after Leno announced his retirement, figuring he could give Jimmy Fallon a run for his money. But when Fallon began crushing him from his first night on the Tonight Show, Letterman decided to cash in his chips. And good riddance; Dave stopped being funny about 20 years ago.
