Something tells me that NATO fighters....or,more specifically,RCAF fighters, could deal with the situation very nicely.

Unfortunately, our CF-18s are older than some of our pilots! It would be interesting to see the French lease at least one of the Mistral-class amphibious assault ships originally destined for Comrade Putin, up armed with Harrier IIs, to the RCN. Of course, several years of training would be required since our last CVL, the HMCS Bonaventure, was retired and scrapped in 1970. I doubt that there is a single RCN member who was a seaman then.

That baby looks like it has about a 250 horse Mercury inboard on it. I bet it can pull two water skiers at once!

I’m going to assume that Canada has not cut their pilot’s flight time?
To: huldah1776
Im going to assume that Canada has not cut their pilots flight time? I'm no military expert. Not even close.I rose to the lofty rank of SP5 in the US Army. But one might think that if that Canadian ship had a right under International Law to be where it was one could easily see the Soviets' act as a provocation.Nations have the right to respond to provocations.
To: DJlaysitup
was that an attempt at humor or are you just a little unbalanced
To: Snowyman
Where do the LM2500’s get the gas to operate?
To: willgolfforfood
They use the same fuel as the Pielstick diesels. Gas refers to the working fluid, not the fuel.
