Famed Russian musician and leader of the soviet rock band "The Time Machine" Andrei Makarevich has introduced a new song named My country has gone mad. The anti-war song was presented during the open studio show Echo of Moscow in Moscows Gogol Boulevard. The musician has already become the center of a Kremlin witch hunt for his anti-war position. Makarevich openly opposes the illegal annexation of Crimea and Russian aggression aimed at Ukraine. After performing a concert in Donbas in support of the liberation of Slovyansk from Kremlin-backed insurgents, Makarevich suffered severe criticism and persecution in his home country.

A brave man to be sure.
They aren’t mad at all.
There’s a lot wrong with them, but insanity isn’t one of them. Putin is getting a lot of what he wants, and it seems he will get away with it. He also doesn’t strike me as a wild gambler. He will push and push as long as everything seems reasonably safe, and then he will back off when something serious gets in the way.
There are too few of sane Russians left, so why bother - they are no danger for Putler.
one country is holding out on #EU’s #Russia sanctions, hence an emergency meeting of ambassadors just called.

Some qualify “mad” as possession by the Devil: Putin is a textbook case, as majority of comrades. They may act somewhat reasonable and intelligent on the surface, but still be mad as Hell.
Peace marches scheduled in Russia tomorrow, wonder how Putin will react?
Laughing his pants off. His support hovers in 90% range. The marchers will be beaten by their own friends and neighbors.
Russian armored vehicles, tanks, Grads, massing in northern Crimea. Going to be hell in that part of Ukraine in a few days. Russian green men in Moldavia now.
Hard to gauge real support in a nation where your life is in danger if you show any opposition to it’s thug in charge.
I’d say he wouldn’t be popular with some FREEPers. There are some who think Putin is a Godlike figure.
He really is popular in Russia and I also think Russians have collectively gone mad. Hitler was also very popular in late 30s and it took a loss of war to get the collective madness out from the Germans.
The Russians are coming the Russians are coming with Vald the impaler.
