Turkey basically borders the IS. They have a strong Army with good special forces and a very good intelligence service. All of which has probably been used to support ISIS in the past. Turkey is buying oil from ISIS and lots of goods (arms?) enter ISIS territory from Turkey.
The details of any operation the Turks have knowledge of will go to ISIS in minutes. This is a bad move but in Obama's world Turkey is golden. I wonder why that is?
