She only cares about herself..yes, she is truly evil. If I had to choose I’d say she’s even worse than that delusional fool Obama.

“She only cares about herself..”

We always have to consider what motivates people to seek political office. Public service? I think that is unfortunately a rare motivation for most politicians. Most want the fame and stature, and once they taste that they need more. Politics attracts narcissists, and narcissists are dangerous people. It's that simple.

Elected officials should not be treated as celebrities, including any President. Reagan treated the office the right way. He got up early and put a suit on every morning - because the office was bigger than him, and it was an absolute privilege to walk into the Oval Office and serve in that role for America.

I saw an interview with Clinton once in which he talked about sitting at the desk in the Oval Office for the first time and saying “Can you believe this?”. I don't want to over interpret, but to me that sounds like ‘I did it. I got the prize.’. IMHO, the proper response to walking into that Oval Office the first time as President should be humility and a at least a small amount of trepidation about fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to you by the citizens of America.

What we have instead are way too many politicians with the attitude “Do you realize who I am?”. They eat expensive food, drink fine wine, are chauffeured around, and generally treated just like they would be in Hollywood.

If I could change the system, I would require all Senators and Congressman to spend five full days each and every month holding office hours in their States/districts during which they would be required to have face-to-face one-on-one meetings with individual constituents (at least 15 minutes per constituent, one-on-one, private without photo-ops, but recorded). Choosing which constituent would be random (no cherry picking, but also assuring proper background checks).

Further, I would make it a mandatory requirement for every Senator, Congressman, and especially each and every President, to do manual labor of some sort for at least two days each and every month. I think a good place to start would be to make it a requirement for the President to sweep the floor at the White House a few times a month (again, verified, but no photo-ops). I'm very serious. When I hear how some of these people treat staffers, secret service etc., it disgusts me. If there is no humility, there should be no political office.
