The Fly Dubai plane was on its way to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates but apparently took off hours later than scheduled, the officials said. By the time it was over Iran, Iranian authorities said the plane's flight plan was no longer valid and the plane was ordered to land.

Yes, it will be interesting to see if we will have another hostage situation. They are probably considering their options now.
I wonder how long it will take for the WH, State Dept, and DoD to develop what they feel is an appropriate strategy for this one.
Probably as long as it takes to develop a strategy to deal with ISIS. In other words, it will be far into the future.

I suspect with missing planes from Libya, all the countries in the region are on edge about potential planes with unusual or no flight plans. I suspect this is the case here, especially since we will apparently be allied (somehow) with Iran against ISIL.
Oh, about 2 years from next Tuesday.
