On Friday morning, less than 48 hours after President Obama delivered a speech in Estonia warning that Russian aggression against Estonia could trigger war with the US and NATO, Russian security forces have seized an officer with Estonia’s state security bureau at gunpoint and taken him into Russia.

Estonia’s security police chief, Arnold Sinislau, asserts the officer was abducted from Estonia and taken into Russia, citing evidence at the scene. “Tracks leading from Russia to Estonia are evident... a scuffle occurred, then they head back.”
According to Russian media, the Federal Security Service identified the man as Estonian security police bureau officer Eston Kohver. He was reportedly detained inside Russia in the northwestern Pskov region while on an undercover assignment. “He had a Taurus handgun, an amount of 5,000 in cash, equipment for covert audio recording, and materials indicative of an intelligence mission,” the FSB press center reported.
Learn to read. I only said you are a pathological liar. I did not say that you were a kidnapper "like the Russkies" Of course, I am not really aware of any of your personal crimes.
Not sure how you continue to get by with it, but there you have it.
It depends on who I insult. Since you are less than an animal, it is okay.
Yes you are Russian, do you deny you are Russian now?
Drunk Russians in Warsaw by Christmas.
"The Estonian intruder was found outside of a Vladivostok kindergarten wearing a full Nazi Uniform adorned with the skulls of children".
The Euroweenies are sellouts who, despite all their Socialism and alleged caring for freedom and democracy, still put money and personal power first.
Yes. It could be that Obambi has his reply from Putin.
But we used all of our tiles and got a triple word score....
out of curiosity, what benefit is it to NATO to have Estonia be a part? Sure, you don’t want to appear weak, you don’t want to appease Russia but is it necessary to antagonize? I would call NATO’s bluff in Estonia. Is it really worth a war to defend a country of 2 million with 25% Russian population that borders Russia?
The Kapo chief, Arnold Sinisalu, issued a statement saying there appeared to be no political motivation behind the incident. Estonia's president, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, tweeted that: “Kapo, like FBI in US, deals both with counterintelligence *and* organized crime. Just in some places they turn out to be same.”
The hope that the affair would turn out to be low-key was initially strengthened when Estonian and Russian border guards performed a joint inspection, which seemed to verify the evidence of an incursion from Russia into Estonia, including multiple footprints in a band of raked sand in that runs through no-man’s land.
By Sunday, however, it became increasingly clear that Russia had other ideas. The Estonian was taken to Moscow where he was paraded before television cameras. The Russian Federal Security Service, the FSB, successor to the Soviet KGB, claimed Kohver had been caught on Russian soil.

The new Evil Empire is already parading prisoners snatched from another country on TV??
Yes, NATO and the EU need to stand up to Mad Vlad at every turn. Doing anything is showing weakness.
If only Estonia hadn't joined NATO, none of this would have happened. Alternatively, Estonia wanted to join NATO because . . . .
NATO is an alliance to defend the West against Soviet/Russian aggression.
Estonia is very much part of the West.
Estonia sent troops to Iraq with GW Bush. They suffered some KIAs.
And unlike their larger alliance partners, Estonia at least spends more than 2 percent of GDP on defense.
Actually, the United States needs to leave NATO to the European muppets and reengage the Russians on a strictly bilateral basis.
Kind of like Russia is engaging Ukraine on a bilateral basis?
Ukraine is a corrupt bankrupt nation with no strategic value or vital national interest to the United States.
NATO is an anchor which costs American taxpayers billions of dollars and provides little of no value in return.
Cutting NATO loose and re-engaging Russia directly will provide exactly the type of wake up call socialist Europe needs.
The Russians appear to have placed some value on it. Funny that the Russians seem insistent that it has no value to us.
Ukraine may well be a vital national security interest to the Russians, but that doesn’t make it one for the United States does it?
Do you think Russia has a vital national security interest in Mexico?
