CVS is betting (and it is very much a bet) that they’ll make a lot more money off of the “Little Clinic” style health services providers it wants to put in it’s stores than it will off of tobacco sales.
CVS is partnering with one of the big national hospital chains (I think, not Kaiser) and offloading tobacco is part of the deal.
Possibly true. However, it doesn't seem likely many people will quit smoking because they can't them at CVS. They'll just buy them somewhere else.
