Looks like Orman is too liberal to be a Republican and too moderate to be a Democrat. I'm not saying that he's going to beat Roberts. But Roberts was polling at 40% or less in a three person race. Now it's down to two. And I guarantee that Roberts isn't going to pick up many of Taylor's supporters.

Once Kansans learn that Orman is basically a Dem, he will be soundly defeated.

Eric Erickson pointed out on Rush’s show today that the Republicans will probably win the race but they will have to divert resources that could be used elsewhere to do so.

GOP leadership needs to wake up and understand their base doesn’t care for elitism.

I have a million complaints about the GOP but the Dems will do anything to win and retain political power, state and nation be damned. I don’t know anything about Orman but am I the only one thinking this guy was bankrolled behind the scenes by the DNC and thrown in the race to suck votes from Roberts. Why were the Dems so quick to rally behind Orman and not seem too upset their own candidate dropped out? Kinda fishy to me.

Orman is not too moderate to be a Democrat, he just says that he is. He is a liberal Democrat who is running as an independent because he could never win as a Democrat. Their plan was to have the Democrat candidate Chad Taylor drop out and scoop up all the liberal Republicans, the Independents, and the Democrat votes. That’s about the only way that a Democrat can win statewide in Kansas these days.

That plan has come off the tracks and bumped up against state law. It turns out that after the primary, Taylor can only withdraw if he’s dead or if he declares that he is incapable of performing the duties of the office. As of today, he’s done neither, although he had better not wander into any dark alleys. With a Democrat on the ballot, the math doesn’t work. Now that this phony resignation scam has been exposed, Orman will probably fade.

Flop Sweat. Many articles being written about Kansas and how there is one incumbent Republican Senator who could be upset.

If this is the Democrats 'best hope', it surely shows how awful and desperate they are. Their best strategy is for the Dummie to drop out in favor of a poorly disguised liberal running as an Independent?!

And to add salt to their wound, it now looks like 'Hanging Chad' can't drop out?!! LOL!

SO Politico found a ‘Republican’ they like?

And dresses it up as a random act of journalism, to promote someone so that a real Republican can lose.

If he was a TEA party candidate they would be spewing vitriol.

From article:

“If one party is clearly in the majority, then I think it makes the most sense for the state of Kansas for me to caucus with the majority,” he said earlier Wednesday.

I don’t really care who is at fault here. The real issue is that the GOP everywhere has no fire in its belly and once again they are on track to screwing up another major election.

If they allow the Dim to withdraw, which so far is not the case, then they HAVE to pick someone to take his place.

Typical RAT cheap trick. Usually they run an “independent” candidate to siphon off GOP votes. This time their Official RAT candidate was such a loser they had to dump him and put all their chips on their spoiler candidate. Naturally the leftist media is hailing this as a “brilliant” move. And they have something to draw attention away from their commie Governor candidate, who used a sex offender in one of his commercials.
