In Florida, when the Dems ran Alex Sink for a vacant house seat in a special election, she did not live in the district. She said that if she won she’d buy a house in the district. Residency for a Democrat depends on where they can win an election, as it’s the job that’s important, not representing your constituents. Note that Hillary moved to New York solely so she could take a seat that no Democrat could lose. (They should have just continued to run the dead guy as it’s easier to control how they vote.)
